“I’ll Be Damned” is the five-piece rock band from Denmark. “Road to Disorder” is the second album released on the very last day of summer 2018.
If you missed desert rock or alternative core from the beginning of Millennium, you’re on the right way. What the record can offer you? The psychedelic riffs and throat cried out, political vibes and teenage angst, all the best of passive aggressive behavior. Ten tracks combine the best samples from different genres but the band describes own genre as “God damned rock’n’roll”. Well, let see how good this coffee, oh, album is. Opening track with clapping rhythm and screaming voice “Have you heard Stefan Hawking talking?” teleported to the 00’s with that entire emo odor. The next worthy track is “You are the young” which must be solid live. The video tells us how to hard be a teacher and no way but a hard way. Take it easy and repeat the song. Also you can repeat couple of songs. For example, “Flag follows the money” (for its dynamic and emotional sound) and “Luck could change” (if you don’t expect country on this record). My personal fav is “Just ain’t right” which I can describe as kind of ballad. The damaged riffs is pure brilliant and the song is damned genius.
I’ve been a bit confused after reading some reviews about the band which compare “I’ll be damned” with “Black Sabbath” or “Led Zeppelin”. Perhaps, it’s flattering to any band but I think that Danes are pretty much different. Thanks for bringing desert rock back.
