Founded in 2006 this German trio wanted to combine Industrial Beats with Noise elements. The band wanted to pick a band name that fits to the music and describes it well, so they decided to name it Eisenfunk. Now they have another album released called “8bit”.
Fast electro and industrial beats is what you find on this album all the way through. The band name as well as the album name describe very well what you will hear. Hardly any lyrics are on this album and the ones you can find on it are little and repetitive. This album, or at least tracks of it are great for industrial parties and industrial club nights. The machine like music is sometimes monotone sometimes includes a thriving beat. “Korobeinki” reminds of old Nintendo sounds whereas “Medieval Bit” – as the name says – has more of a medieval sound, but also a little Scottish touch. There is four different remix versions of “Pong”. But besides that there are no remixes on this album. 15 songs pure industrial music is blasting right at you here. The album layout is very basic as well. Eisenfunk’s “8bit” is a good album for hardcore industrial fans and DJs of industrial events.
