The One Hundred is an English crossover band from London, combining elements of metal, punk, grime, rap and electronics. The band released their debut EP “Subculture” in 2014 via Australian independent label UNFD and have toured extensively across the United Kingdom and Europe as well as performing at major festivals such as Sonisphere, Download Festival and Reading and Leeds. In September 2016 the band announced via their social media that they had signed to Spinefarm Records, a division of Universal Music Group.
Now, The One Hundred has their debut album out. “Chaos & Bliss” is the name of this release. The debut album comes with twelve songs. Right after pressing play on this album you will be confronted with shouted vocals and loud music. A short time into the album, the vocals take turns between being shouted and rapped. This sure is an interesting combination and quite rare these days. The arrangements also include electronic elements. This causes some rhythms to get you going along.
