La Muerte was founded in 1994. Fuelled by vitriol, compared to such legendary gutter-dwelling sleaze-merchants as The Birthday Party, Foetus, The Stooges and even Salvador Dali, La Muerte has become a standard reference when it comes to Belgium‘s underground rock scene. Now, they are back with a brand new EP.
This brand new release is called “Headhunter” and comes with six tracks. The EP begins with a strong rock song. The rhythms are pushing you forward and the chorus will get you going along. The second song is much different. Much more electronic, with samples as intro and during the song. It includes no vocals and is a plain industrial piece. “Ecoute Cette Prière” follows that example, and so does the rest of the EP. The sound gets creepier by the minute. It sounds as if La Muerte have lured you into the darkest alley way with “Headhunter”. And only you and La Muerte know what comes next. Beware!
La Muerte is back. With the new EP “Headhunter” and its six songs, the band shows you what they have to offer. La Muerte is luring you into the darkness with their experimental industrial sounds after the EP started out with a catchy rock song. Go ahead and check it out.
