Another new band promoting their debut album. Watch Me Bleed is one of those bands that exists of well-known musicians. Watch Me Bleed from Germany has them. It all started back in 2007 when Markus Pohl (Symphorce and Mystic Prophecy) founded this band with drummer Steffen Threurer (Symphorce). When they found their frontman Chris Rodens it only took them six weeks to stand on stage, playing as support act of Stone Sour. In 2008 the second vocalist Markus Wenzel joined the band to contribute a more death-metal voice.

In 2009 they recorded their debut album “Souldrinker”, produced and mixed by Christian Moos. Their debut album contains eleven tracks that should convince you of their capabilities. On “Souldrinker” metalcore, death metal and thrash metal can be heard with a touch of hardcore. Halfway the album you have hear it, they are repeating themselves, using the same formula. Although there are a few tracks that do stand out. “Bloodred Rain”, “SixsixSeven” and “The Game is On” are the little jewels of this album.

To add a little extra they teamed up with Andy B. Franck(Brainstorm), Constantine (Mystic Prophecy) and Nemesis(Eigensinn) on one track “The Bleeding Chalice”. Different vocalist join in on this track and create something special. The greater part of the tracks on the album are a bit predictable and the better ones have a strong catchy chorus. However there is no track that really moves or strikes me. The two aggressive vocalist work nice together giving the album something to distinguish themselves which they need because the majority of the album is not very new or original.
