On a Tuesday night The Midnight Ghost Train was scheduled to play in Utrecht. Not the most likely day to see a band, but their fans appear to be quite loyal.
The venue was filled well when the band started playing. The guys have formed their band in 2008 and since then it is the fifth time they play in DB’s, Utrecht which mean there are a lot of people there that know the music of these guys very well. Their latest full length is dating back to early 2015 so there is not anything they don’t really know.
The band starts energetic and they seem eager to be there for them. The two guys up front, Steve and Mike, are forming a strong duo, When Steve steps up to make himself be more of the spotlights Mike simply lets him and the other way around but when the two are teaming up together, everything comes out best. Drummer Brandon makes it a bit of his own to shine and he does well, giving a vehement backbone to the band he knows to put his stamp on it just as well.
In the beginning of the set people responded a bit tame, but when they all dug into it the whole venue looked energetic and enjoying. The Midnight Ghost Train must have enjoyed this evening a lot, seeing a lot of people show up and have a good time. They say to love this venue a lot, but perhaps they outgrow the place soon. They are certainly heading into that direction.
