Daniel Wirtz is a German Rock musician who has been singer of Sub7even before he started his solo project. “Erdling” is his second album that he released this year.
All songs are sung in German. If you know the last album of Daniel Wirtz you will realize that this album’s lyrics are a continuing story of it. The music is very catchy and rocking but also very serious. Deep and emotional he is spreading his thoughts, talking about his life and the degenerated general public that is unable to think for themselves. Daniel Wirtz is trying to wake the people with his music. He doesn’t care what others think or say about him and stays true to his mind. Some of his songs also include apologies for things he has done. “Nada Brahma” is a very slow and deeply thoughtful song. You have to understand German to get the deeper meaning of it all, but the music carries a lot of the emotions as well.
The cover shows an infant with tattoos and piercings. “Erdling” is a wonderful and serious album, going against the mainstream. Daniel Wirtz, one of only a few musicians that are still staying real and true.
