Babylon Bombs joined forces in late 2001 with Stockholm/Sweden as the base. After recording some demos and playing a bunch of gigs the band has been building up a reputation as a high energy live act that goes from strength to strength, in both material and tightness but also with a vision of a kick ass live show where the band attacks it all. Now they have their third album released called “Babylon’s Burning”.
The new album of the four Swedish rockers is very easy going and catchy. The songs are sleazy. The music is full of pure rock and roll accompanied by great vocals. “It’s Alright” has an acoustic beginning and reminds a lot of American country music before the entire band sets in. On this song you can also hear great additional vocals that make the chorus sound choir like. You can find great guitar riffs on this album, strong and edgy at some parts, smooth and soft at others. The vocals are always adapting to the sound. The music sounds very complete, you can also hear the passion the guys put into this new album. Yet they stayed true to their own style they have had throughout all the years of bad existence. On songs like “Shine ON” you can hear some great sounds n the background. So my advice is to listen to this album several times, and listen close! The album cover looks very strong and the pictures in the booklet are very deep. The lyrics are also to be found in the booklet. Each song is printed in a fitting style on the song list on the back of the album as well as in the booklet itself. “Babylon’s Burning” is a steaming hot new piece of great music by the four Swedes of Babylon Bombs. Get it while it’s hot.
