Venue: Batschkapp, Frankfurt (Germany)

Adept is a Swedish metal core band from Trosa. Founded in 2004, the band consists of Robert Ljung (vocals), Jerry Repo (guitars) Filip Brandelius (bass), Gabriel Hellmark (drums) and Gustav Lithammer (guitars). In November 2014, they announced that their fourth studio album will be released later in 2015. And just before they release that very album, the guys from Adept were out on the road to play some of the new stuff to their fans.

AdeptAs part of the Progression Tour 2015 the Swedes are currently touring along with Suicide Silence, Whitechapel, Carnifex, Rise Of The Northstar and Walking Dead On Broadway. It was a Tuesday night which was probably why the venue was not very crowded. But all were absolutely excited to see tonight’s bands. All hard and heavy. The audience was mainly dressed in dark shirts and quite young. As Adept entered the stage, the festival was in full swing and every guest had gathered back inside to see the Swedes rock the house.

With lots of energy and excitement Adept entered the stage and conquered the crowd. The loud music and the catchy melodies got the audience to mosh and shout along. Even a circle pit had formed throughout their set. The guys jumped around on stage, not standing still for a second. Adept played songs off all their three albums as well as some from the upcoming album. The guys played one brand new song that their label did not want to be on the upcoming album, according to Adept, but the guys love that song so they played it loud and proud. The audience loved it too. Adept also announced their song “The Lost Boys” with a reference to the movie from the 80s which not very many people responded to because most of the audience were too young to know the movie. Nevertheless they all jumped and shouted along to the thriving music. And all that amazing music packed into not even forty minutes of show time. It was a brilliant show by the boys. We all can’t wait for the album and their next time out here, maybe even as a headliner.
