Autumn’s Dawn is a project by Tim Yatras, also known as ‘Sorrow’. He have down a dozen of projects before and in 2013 this child got born. Now a full length release comes out under this name. It’s called “Gone” and will set you up with some atmospherical Black Metal.
Black Metal on a very Melancholic route, Autumn’s Dawn surely knows to capture the doomy autumn atmosphere in their music and while the summer is clearly over now the release of this album is perfectly in time to make us enjoy the album in style. Instrumentally the band takes their time to build up to each highlight and maybe they did not find the heaviest way to do it, but with the more gloomy side it makes the album come with a sound you can drown yourself into.
Also vocally you are granted with a little bit of sugar. Loads of clean vocals and occasionally they tend to dive into a more extreme.
“Gone” is an album that is relatively approachable. A melancholic piece that has a rather full sound considering the fact that it is made by this duo only. It does leave a little wondering how they would bring it live, but for a recorded piece you will enjoy it pleasantly.
