For The Imperium – In/Die

For the Imperium is a Finnish band making a blend of hardcore metal and metal core. They released their second EP under their own hands called “In/Die”.

“In/Die” holds five songs with all a bit different approach from each other. It starts with “Exotic Diseases Black” which seems very hip hop orientated. The equivalent called “Exotic Diseases White” is way more aggressive and explosive. Usually it is black and darkness that dominates the music but to pick one of these I suggest to go for white as it meets the ideology from this band better.
The band chose to make the music more danceable in the third song “In My Heart”. The whole sound comes a bit more electric to the listener and those who adore to focus on guitar riffs will be pleased by that one. This chosen path goes further in the fourth song “Last Shot” but yet again the band builds some more aggression in their music which they took to the highest level in the very last song of this EP. “End Of Your Road”.

In general the band has a certain refreshing element in the genre, the vocals come light and fresh instead of dramatic till it gets annoying which is too often the case. “In/Die” does have a certain party element meaning this in the way that the aggression never directs directly to the listener. It brings you in a mood to feel free, but not spice up a riot.
