Inmoria is a Swedish Progressive Metal band formed in 2008 by Dan Eriksson, former drummer of Tad Morose, initially player of all instruments, then become the keyboarder of the band. As time passed by, other musicians joined Inmoria, all members of the same band, Tad Morose, for the exception of Charles Rytkönen, who came from Morgana Lefay. After Eriksson found the name for the band, they signed with the German record company Massacre Records.
‘Invisible Wounds’ is the first album released by the band. I would put it into Metal, even if in this case is too restrictive. There are some Progressive influences as well as some Dark ones. All the songs are quite gloomy, with a massive use of keyboards that characterizes it. The voice of the singer Charles Rytkönen perfectly fits with the atmosphere of the album. In ‘Haunting Shadows’, ‘Will to Live’, ‘The Other Side’ and ‘I Close My Eyes’ (last songs of the album) you can hear a distant and suffused female voice as well, that makes it all a bit milder. As the listening went by I had the impression that there was like a thread that went between every song, that made them all part of the same loneliness and regret that you can get in the lyrics as well. The band has a quite particular sound that’s hard to compare to the one of any other band, and ‘Invisible Wounds’ is a good debut album, maybe a bit too full of the same songs’ structure, but still a good album.
