25-08-2007 The Jade

Date: 25-08-2007, Semifinal Helsinki (Finland)
By: Sabine van Gameren

The Jade is a glammy rock band from Finland with continuously growing fan base all around the world. Tonight playing in a quite filled Semifinal in Helsinki.
What can you expect from a The jade gig? well a lot of things going on! After
a instrumental intro, singer Wille Rosen runs onstage with his cool, mysterious
glasses. Giving the gig a start off with the song “Seventeen”.
When the song “Drowned” is playing, the audience start getting the point and show more how they appreciate the music of The Jade. Guitarist Pekko rocks a lot during the gig, with full concentration on his own side of the stage.

Not leaving the own area often, but living his own gig.
For me, the most interesting part was when playing the songs “When heaven   calls” which slacks my attention from my camera and completely got me listening.
A beautiful song! Another highlight in the show is Pet Shop Boys’ coverssong “It’s a sin” There is everyone rocking! So much activity going on. Just one look to the band and their faces to see that they all go for 100% in the music. Nice gig, which ended after 11 songs, but still way too soon.
