30-10-2013 Idle Class

Supports: Death of Youth; Venue: Schlachthof, Wiesbaden (Germany)
By: Nina Mende

Wiesbaden tonight. Idle Class was playing. Along with two other punk German acts. Now it was a Wednesday night, so the venue was not too crowded. While the first band Death Of Youth was playing their set some more people were coming in, but there was still much room. The local band Death Of Youth played a twenty minute set full of thriving punk music with German lyrics. The guys definitely had fun on stage and gave everything to make it worth while. And the audience appreciated it.

Up next was Idle Class, another German punk rock band. This time from Münster. The guys had just released an album and were now resenting it live on stage. Idle Class has two singers, one of them is also playing guitar. At the end of the second song the guys stopped their music and just sang. Every single one of the guys was singing in the background. The songs Idle Class played were absolutely catchy and got the audience to go along. Some could even sing along to the songs. There was no real break between songs. The guys started with the next one right away so it was hard to find the right time to show ones appreciation by clapping. But therefore the cheering in the end was much louder. Idle Class had a blast on stage, celebrating the show and infecting the audience with their passion. Too bad not many people were there to see it. They definitely are a must check out.

Last band of the night was KMPFSPRT. Another German punk rock band that was rocking the night away. The audience as well as support band were rocking it on the dance floor. Cheering out loud after each song and singing along during the song, everyone was having a blast. After about an hour it was all over. Oh what a night.
