Auletta — Pöbelei & Poesie

Releasedate: 26-06-2009; Label: EMI

Alarm, alarm! After seeing Auletta live and being impressed, I now hold their debut album in hands as well. As I said in the gig review: Auletta is a German singing indie rock band from Mainz/Germany. Four young guys being very professional, not only on stage but also in the studio. Twelve songs they delivered us to prove that, thirteen if you count the limited download track.

Auletta is the new generation Sportfreunde Stiller. Their music will impress not only people that understand German but also people who don’t simply by the melodies. Some of the danceable songs like “Meine Stadt” or “Roboter” remind a lot of Mando Diao or Sugarplum Fairy, whereas the slower songs like “Dein Lied” are more in Sportfreunde Stiller Style. Pure and natural Auletta gets into your heart. “Alarm Alarm” is the party song on the album, great to jump along to and simply have fun. A very animating song. The album spreads happiness and ease in a very positive way. I really fell in love with the album, very emotional and deep lyrics which you can also find in the album. The artwork of the booklet and case is very interesting, wavy yet pure, mostly held in black and white. Just here and there you can find a little red.
