19-05-2011 The Intersphere

Supports: Dioramic, Lion & The Wolf; Venue: Nachtleben, Frankfurt (Frankfurt)

Tonight I was back at Nachtleben to see three amazing bands perform: The Intersphere, Dioramic and Lion & The Wolf.

The venue was filled from the beginning to the end. And there were fans of each band there. The first band was Lion & The Wolf, an UK band. It was their first time in Germany and they were absolutely excited to play to all the fans on this tour. You could tell they were a little bit nervous, but that was alright. The stage was filled with the equipment for all three bands so there was not too much room to move around. Lion & The Wolf did well with rocking on the spot though. The bass player moved around a little bit more than the others. Some in the audience were dancing a whole lot too, the rest tapped and nodded along and simply enjoyed the performance of Lion & The Wolf. After about half an hour they were done and made room for the next band.
The German band Dioramic continued rocking the stage. Founded in 2002 the band mixes Screamo with Hardcore Punk and Metal. Quite heavy compared to the previous band but the fans loved it big time. The vocals were mostly screamed and shouted. The guys talked quite a lot to the audience and always got a reply. Since the stage was still quite full, they could not move around too much either. For some songs Dioramic added some electro tracks along to the keyboard playing, which their music included anyways. It was a great performance that lasted for about 45 minutes. And off to the last band we went.

The Intersphere had just released their new album “Atmospheres” and toured with this one now. After 3 years of playing together as a band they perform very confident and professional. The music was catchy and many people could sing along to the old and new songs The Intersphere were playing tonight. The audience danced and clapped along, cheered out loud after each song and made the band feel home. With having their roots in Mannheim they were almost home as well. It was a brilliant performance. The band filled the venue with a positive vibe and everybody had a good time. It felt like we had all grown together as one family in only a matter of a few songs. The Intersphere definitely put up an amazing performance. I can’t wait to see them again.
