Jonsu (vocals, violin), Heini (bass), Sirkku (keyboards), Jenny (guitar) and Laura (drums) founded Indica in 2001. Before this the girls had already spent their entire childhood surrounded by classical music and had also played in a few different band line-ups.
On their new album you can hear the classical background. The music is dreamy and very melodic. It makes you sway along and drift off into a fairytale world. All songs are sung in Finnish.
“Elä” is great for dancing and singing along. “Askeleet” is very slow and the dreamiest song on the album. “Ei Enää” is the most emotional song in my opinion.
“Valoissa” is a very positive and happy song; at least it spreads that feeling.
With the “lala” it gives you that dreamy and child-like freedom, a really great one as well. Mainly you can hear piano playing in that one. A very slow and melodic song, slightly melancholic but simply beautiful.
The album is just as impressive, beautiful and gorgeous as the girls were live.
