iArab Strap is a duo from Scotland. The formation has an Indie Rock sound, which is established for over decades. Yet they have been off radar for quite some years. In 2021 they returned to the scene with an album called “As Days Get Dark”. This year a new album got our with the lengthy title “I’m totally fine with it don’t give a fuck anymore “.

A dark voice lays on the base of their sound. An electric indie rock sound surrounds the whole for the atmosphere. Often a bit dark and melancholic, the lyrics are not perse of positivity, but are grabbed from life in the rawest form it comes.

“Strawberry Moon” would give you chills if you take the time to listen carefully, but its tempting to have the sound fade in a background music. But that is something that is cutting you out of the full experience.

“Turn Off the Light” is a track that stands out for it has an immense feel to it, a track that makes an impression when played in a large crowd, with the right setting. This also counts for “Bliss”  which has this electric sound making the whole become so melancholic.

Arab Strap created an interesting release with an immense sound. It is one that hits well with an audience that like electronic sound, but the rock or metal fans with a love for industrial touches may be drawn to this just as well for the dark side of the music is bringing atmospheres and sounds that seem to do so well at the moment.
