Supports: eleVate; Venue: Batschkapp, Frankfurt (Germany)
By: Nina Mende
The night began with a German band called eleVate. The trio has a new album out called “No Shadow Without Light” and played some songs off this album tonight. The venue was filling up slowly, the light was dim and everyone was curious for eleVate. Melodic rock music, very touchy and emotional yet rocking. The audience enjoyed it and moved along, clapped and cheered after each song. eleVate presented old and new songs. Their set lasted for about 40 minutes.
Now it was time for the main act to rock the stage. Personally I had never heard of Feeder before but it seemed like quite many others did. Feeder is an alternative rock group, formed in Newport, Wales in 1991. Feeder’s original line-up consisted of vocalist and guitarist Grant Nicholas, drummer Jon Lee and bass player Taka Hirose. This year they released their eight studio album with which they are touring now. The Batschkapp has gotten quite crowded by now. Everyone soaked up every second of the show, followed every note and riff of the beautiful rock music Feeder was playing. The fast songs got the audience to dance along, the slower songs drew the couples even closer together. The music touched everyone. Feeder spread energy and positive vibes while they were on stage and the audience enjoyed it big time. What a wonderful Thursday night out at the Batschkapp.
