Voodoo Circle is founded by Silent Force mastermind Alex Beyrodt, who had the idea to re-think his personal vision for quite some time already, more than 25 new songs have been written since then. His outstanding songwriting- and instrumental skills made Alex a highly respected musician among colleagues and secured him an ever-growing worldwide fan base. In Japan (where quality is still the most important aspect) he is hailed as a “guitar hero” and the influence of legendary bands like Rainbow and Deep Purple can be recognized in his charismatic way of playing. As a master following the tradition of all-time-greats like Ritchie Blackmore and Yngwie J. Malmsteen, also Alex is able to make a song something special. He simply has “it”. The next step for Alex was to build a line-up that has the abilities to share his vision and perform in an authentic way. His goal was to gather 5 great musicians in the end, who even could amaze a crowd all alone, but now work together as a unique team.

Their latest release is called “Broken Heart Syndrome” and includes twelve brand new tracks. Voodoo Circle are getting close to the legendary 80s rock sound, with the long curly hair and the glitter scarves on the microphone stand. Simply amazing music that is not a copy of their heroes but instead you can feel that this is simply the sound these guys are carrying in their hearts. Each song has a big sound filling the room around you, leaving no room for anything else. Pure amazement and excitement is filling your insides. Somehow this album makes you constantly wanting to check the CD case if this is not one of the 80s heroes, but no. It is Voodoo Circle and their latest 2011 release! A brilliant piece of timeless music, untouchable. Either one can create a sound like that or one can’t – and has it inevitably sound like a copy. Voodoo Circle definitely can!
