Those Dancing Days are an indie pop band from Nacka, a suburb of Stockholm, Sweden. Most frequently compared to Northern Soul and 1960s era girl-groups, the band formed in 2005 while the members were all still in school. They are currently signed to Wichita Recordings. The band consists of five girls from Stockholm. Their name derives from the Led Zeppelin song “Dancing Days”.
Now the girls have released their second album called “Daydreams & Nightmares”. Eleven tracks full of electro pop by a Swedish girl band, that is what “Daydreams & Nightmares” is all about. That and a lot more. The bright sound brings you into a good mood and somehow manages to get you to enjoy every second of life while this album is rotating in your CD player. Even though the lyrics are quite serious if you listen closely, the music to it creates a different mood. This album is perfect for getting ready for a night out and for getting in the right mood. Each song is very entertaining and never gets boring. Those Dancing Days might be all girls but this album is not girly at all. So bring on your dancing days with Those Dancing Days and their brilliant new album “Daydreams & Nightmares”.
