I Was a Teenage Satan Worshipper – The Lemonade Ocean

If you are looking for some happy danceable summer tunes, I have something for you! Let me take this opportunity to introduce a band named I Was A Teenage Satan Worshipper from Tampere, Finland. Their music is very electronic. Electro pop with happy rhythms and catchy lyrics. The band made a song called “Boys Are Pigs” before, which is a sentence that basically every girl shouts out at least once in her life. Just an example how recognizable their music is.

The band just finished their third release called “The Lemon Ocean”. As I said, their style consists of happy tunes and funky melodies. As soon as the album starts you get in the mood for dancing. The album is perfect for the club scene and has some potential chart material on it. Take as first the second song on the album OMG, Techno Chicks” I heard the song two times and I knew it by heart. The music sticks in mind easily and doesn’t bore you easily. The girls can probably grin by the song titles of this album. “Beat Your Boyfriend” is just another wink to their feminine fans.
I personally had to smile mostly about “Art School Creeps” since I had a very uncomfortable blue Monday on art school myself.
Listeners of Ladytron will probably adore this band as well. The Lemon Ocean is a nice produced album, with the songs in the right order and never makes it too hysterical.

After listening to this album I see myself dancing in the mirror and then I realize I still had to write this review. Can’t help it… I just have to dance.
