Antrisch is an atmospheric black metal act based in Germany. Founded in 2020, the band is a blend of different styles of black metal mingled with portions of doom, djent and dark ambient. Antrisch is a musical & lyrical expedition to the heights of the world and the depths of the man. The debut EP “EXPEDITION I : Dissonanzgrat” is out now.
“EXPEDITION I : Dissonanzgrat” comes with five tracks and delivers that fine melodic black metal. With the great harmony of the growls, the riffs and fantastic blastbeats, the album flows from the beginning to the end! There is a rawness to it with a fine production, making the EP aggressive but smooth to listen to. In general, the songs have a fast tempo with some rhythm changes here and there, which would definitely work well live as ‘headbanger’ pieces!
Apart from black metal as the core element of this EP, there are also elements from djent and doom. Even though atmospheric/ambient elements are a part of the band’s sound, the EP’s style lies more on the aggressive, straightforward and melodic edge of black metal. The German lyrics might be a challenge for the listeners who don’t know the language but I am sure this is an EP that any BM fan will enjoy! The band has a certain dedication and vision and this shows throughout the EP.
“EXPEDITION I : Dissonanzgrat” is a must-have for the black metal fans out there! Looking forward to what the band has for us in the future. Get the EP and enjoy it!
