With their new album „Skeletons“ they were now on tour all over and also stopped by in Frankfurt/Germany. That was the very show I went to and had a blast seeing Wednesday 13 (ex-Murderdolls) again.

Many people were already waiting outside long before the doors opened. Several fans wore Wednesday13 band shirts, only a couple wore Murderdolls or Misfits. The average age of all fans was not too high and many were dressed up like it was Halloween with their make-up and the hair styles.

As the doors opened everybody rushed downstairs in the Nachtleben to get a good spot in the front row. The opening act was Stoneman, a band from Switzerland playing deathglam as they call it themselves. The band was founded in 2005 and have two albums released by now. As the four guys entered the little stage some girls in the front row were shouting and screaming a little, singing along and danced to the music. Stoneman performed for about 40 minutes and played a little with audience. Although they are from Switzerland and even sang one song in German they talked in English which seemed a little odd, but that didn’t matter. The guitar and bass player played together and made fun together quite some times.

Before Wednesday 13 entered the stage there were many more people coming and it was getting quite hot in the venue. You started sweating without even moving. As Wednesday13 came on stage everybody was pushing forward trying to get very close to them. As the band started rocking on stage the audience started moshing, jumping and dancing along. They also sang along to all the new songs. Besides several songs from the newest and the previous album Wednesday 13 also played two Murderdolls songs. The fans screamed and cheered quite loud and called for an encore which they got. The venue had heated up terribly by now, we all were sweating a lot so was the band. Their sweat was running down their bodies, soaking the nice outfits and dripped down – either onto the stage or onto the audience when the band was playing with them again. The five American guys had a blast on stage. For the song “I Walked With A Zombie” one guy of the crew came up on stage dressed up as a Zombie. For the song “Rambo” Wednesday wore a military hat and a toy gun. For some other songs he wore a cowboy hat. It was a really great show, Wednesday 13 is a very interactive band playing with the audience a lot. The show seemed a little too short though, but it was so hot, we all didn’t care too much about that.
