Releasedate: 29-10-2010; Label: Melodic Rock Records
By: Sabine van Gameren
All I know is a band from Belgium. They make Melodic Rock and have been around since 2005. Their album “Vanity Kills” is out now.
“Vanity Kills” is a typical 80’s rock album, at first the music seems to be quite simple, but improvements comes after a few songs. Don’t expect elaborated riffs or a completely original sound, no, the band is not inventing wheels with it, but catchy and seem to work ok. Twelve songs and many of them sound alike which is a bit of a bummer. The band seem to have a nice start with this release but there can be so more out of them when they manage to show a different side of them every once and a while. The album closed with a ballad, the only black sheep in the album that does not fit into the template used on the rest of the songs. It would be better to have found that one somewhere half way the album as a sort of break.
All I Know is on the way, but with this album not standing out enough to make you remember them well enough. Some work here and there could be done and perhaps these gentlemen are ready to really blow you away.
