Unheilig is on tour again. This time they took Mono Inc and Apoptygma Berzerk along. Almost all dates are sold out and the tour will go on till mid-February. Tonight they stopped by in Frankfurt, playing at Jahrhunderthalle. As usual Unheilig had a kids zone as well as a parent zone. The audience was very mixed.

The first band playing was Mono Inc. Mono Inc. is an electro rock band from Hamburg. With a female drummer they rocked the stage for 20 minutes. The audience began to warm up while still pouring in. The band had a good time on stage.

Up next was Apoptygma Berzerk. Apoptygma Berzerk (commonly abbreviated to APB or Apop) is a Norwegian musical group. They have achieved success with a brand of synthpop, and ballads backed with electronic rhythms, commonly known within the scene and referring to themselves as “futurepop”. Apop has won awards and top-10 spots in Germany and Scandinavia. Apoptygma Berzerk has toured Europe, North America, Australia and Israel with bands such as VNV Nation, Beborn Beton and Icon of Coil. With a stand-in keyboarder they rocked the stage. You could feel the chemistry was right and the guys had fun on stage. Apoptygma played old and new songs in their 45 minutes of show time. Apop gave everything on stage, the audience enjoyed the band performing. It was a brilliant show, even though it was a little short. But after all they were not headlining on this tour. Apoptygma Berzerk is an amazing live band and I can’t wait for them to have their own headliner tour again soon. Until then I surely hope they find a whole lot of new fans during this tour and have a good time.

Last band of the night was Unheilig. The fans were all excited as the stage was all set up and ready to go. The boat was set on stage and the candles were lit. Unheilig came on stage and the audience was all theirs. They performed old and new songs and it seemed like everyone could sing along. For the last song of their two hour performance Mono Inc and Apoptygma Berzerk came on stage and got introduced again. It was a brilliant evening. Everyone enjoyed it.
