Finnish doom band Funeral For Two coming from Seinäjoki (Finland) has just released their brand new debut EP which is a self-titled one. There are just 2 tracks present on the EP but both are over 6 min. long tracks. Forgotten Souls being the longest one to be found on this release.

Funeral For Two renders the 101 of doom metal if you have not had the chance to get into the genre before. Both of the tracks reminded me of Black Sabbath heavily, but more lo-fi in quality which is actually the most appealing side to the band´s tunes in my opinion. Obscure vocals definitely add to the vibe and atmosphere of doom. Doom metal is ubiquitous all over Northern Europe and the UK but I could not help but find something unique in Funeral For Two- despite the genre having apparent roots, they managed to add something unique in their tracks.

This is a very good EP by Funeral For Two and an exciting foreteller of their hopefully upcoming full-length record that the band is currently working on.
