Label: Fastball Music Releasedate: 2020
Devilsbridge is a Swiss formation making Melodic Metal. It was only a year ago the band released their first singles and this year they return with an EP. It is called “Endless Restless” and is available now.
The female fronted formation starts the EP with the vehement “555”. It is a bit hard to find the structure of the song. Somewhat flat and often having all parts stitched together so tightly you can’t feel where it is really going. Halfway you come to the track “Endless Restless Heart” which is probably the most speaking track of the release. The band also made a video of this one.
The songs the band continues with are not much more of a highlight. If you focus on the individual skills you cna hear it is there. Some good riffage, drums are never boring or standard but somehow it does not connect. A bit more space in their compositions, a different production maybe. That would help them stand out better.
There is potential in Devilsbridge. A stong voice combined with the skills that this band has should certainly become something when they are growing. A whole album of this would simply be too much, but when they bend the learningcurve upwards, we would be happy to hear a future release.
