Searching For Calm is band that makes music that comes as experimental/crossover. Their debut album have been released in 2007 and now they come with a follow up called “Celestial Greetings”.
For sure, This band is not one that picks up their fans easily, it is not the most accessible music they make. With a calm voice, by Michal Maslak, the set an ambient atmosphere that reminded me to the Italian band Demetra Sine Die. It takes till song three “Follow” to get very intense when it comes vocal wise. It sets a mood that just ask for a live performance rather than hearing this on CD first. The band furthermore sets a spacious wall of sound with their guitars. They really set the song, but are maybe not the most comprehensive parts at times you would expect a little more than what you get, but this is perhaps just a matter of time. Obviously these Polish rockers have a very own mind of how their music should sound, not trying to stick to the confidential side but rather explore what their options are. They switch calmth an energetic from time to time and seem to have an attitude that wants to let you know that it is them that is in control. Interesting act, would probably make more sense to see live even though the album leaves a good impression too.
