February 2006: Ian Clement, Sylvester Vanborm and Dries Hoof make their first live appearance as Wallace Vanborn, a three-piece rock band bringing a mixture of stoner rock and sexy, stripped down electronics in a magical formula that provided the band with a solid live reputation and the current nickname “Pletwallace” (the Dutch word for steamroller). Their critically acclaimed debut “Free Blank Shots” was released in Belgium on February 8th 2010 (TSR / [PIAS]), hit the web, sprung airplay for singles “Rite Hands” and “Atom Juggler” and resulted in tours throughout the United Kingdom, the Benelux and along the American West Coast. In their own words, Wallace Vanborn eagerly bring their audience hard, rocking music which is edgy yet danceable, with some tasty hooks and catchy refrains thrown in for good measure.

Catchy indie rock meets brit pop with awesome melodies is what Wallace Valborn sounds like. The album definitely spreads a good mood. The sound on the album is amazing and the lyrics are to think about. If you like, that is. “Genius” is the most catchy song on the album which does not mean that the other songs are not catchy. Each song has its tune that definitely stays in your head for long. The album is great to have as background music but it also deserves your fullest attention.
