Supports: At The Farewell Party, 3 Feet Smaller; Venue: Nachtleben, Frankfurt (Germany)

Another close to sold out show at Nachtleben with three awesome bands to play. Most people in the audience wore festival shirts. The audience was quite an alternative crowd. And all were in a good mood. So it was an easy task for the first band to get the audience all heated up. The light was dim.

At The Farewell Party is a local rock band that has been playing together for about three years. Their music was extremely catchy which made everybody go along big time. The band used up every little inch of the stage jumping around and rocked around for more than 30 minutes. They talked quite a lot to their audience, also thanked the other bands but didn’t mention their name for everyone to remember even though they had a huge backdrop saying their name. Yet that didn’t matter. The show of At The Farewell Party was amazingly energetic. Alternative punk with a touch of Emo is how you could wrap it all up. At The Farewell Party is definitely a great pick when it comes to heat up an audience.

Up next was a band from Austria called 3 Feet Smaller. 3 Feet Smaller is an Austrian punk-rock band, formed in 2000. Their first big concert was at the 2 Days A Week festival in Wiesen in 2001. The first single of their debut album was in the Austrian alternative charts for lots of weeks. Their 2nd single was even on the top of the charts in East Switzerland. Over the years they have played hundreds of concerts in Austria and other European countries. They also played as support for other bands like The Offspring and Die Ärzte. Their punk music was a lot harsher than At The Farewell Party were, and they got the audience go even wilder. Everybody was jumping along to the music. Going insane and shouting along, cheering out loud after each song. They rocked the little club for about 40 minutes. Reckless rocking on stage made amps fall and fans scream and mosh even more. It was a punk rock show at its finest, and the night had just begun.

Closing the night was a band from Berlin: 5 Bugs. Founded in 2001 these five guys have been rocking ever since. The cheering was extremely loud as they entered the stage. Everybody could sing along to several of the songs of 5bugs, danced and moved along to the great music. The light was dim and the air was hot. The sweat was running even if you were not moving, but everybody did. The band talked a lot to the audience and even had a contest. The owner of the concert ticket with a certain number won a guitar. It was a very familiar atmosphere in the little club and everybody enjoyed the alternative rock 5bugs kept blasting at us for about an hour. Time flew by and the mood was good. It was amazing to see the guys rock on stage in the heat without getting tired. 5bugs seemed to have endless power. You could tell that the band loved what they were doing. And so did the fans. It was a wonderful night at Nachtleben. Many thanks to all the bands.
