Plexiphones is an Electro Rock formation from UK. The band released a new album called “Break In The Cloud” recently.
What comes from this album quite fast
is that this release is made for charts. It’s catchy and melodic.
Some sentences are repeated quite often, making it easy to hold on to
refrains from the first time on. “Fail In Love” is an example of
a track that is one that draw attention easily.
Most of the songs
have a quite simplistic body. Perhaps a bit too simplistic for most
of our readers, the music is more aimed towards a pop audience. The
song “Running” flows easily but as this the third track on the
release coming with this easy flow you may feel like it is enough
already. We were yearning for some more comprehension in it. Yet the
album that not really come up with that.
The album ends with the intense “My Language” which is maybe not the most epic one but let’s the album ease out slowly. Surely “Break In The Cloud” will have its audience but for us it is just not the album that will make it to the yearlists. Pop fans will adore it though.
