Suzanne Vega is an American singer/songwriter. In the latest 80’s she got her breakthrough and songs as “Luka” and “Tom’s Dinner” scored high on the international charts. Anno 2010 Suzanne releases two albums with remakes of her old songs.
The songs of this album are all stripped down. So this gives the total focus to the lyrics and the actual song. Her two greatest hits are on it two and about “Tom’s Dinner” it must be said that it was used as reference track for mp3. So basically it made her the mother of the mp3, but that does not mean that the album will be available as mp3 only. As physical release is there as well for the fans. In total there will be four of these stripped down albums, this being just the second one, gives you something to wait for if you are into this special material. No matter how long you have known Suzanne Vega’s music, these new versions give you more space to listen to the lyrics and hear things you did not hear any time before. So after all, this line of releases seem to be a perfect idea, cause after so many years of her, there is still not enough of her.
