Fanoe was formed in 2005 by Klaus Fanoe (voc/guitar). The main members of the band are Diana Perola (bass), Ari Rossi (guitar) and Marco Trachsel (drums). The rather uncommon band name (pronounced: FAN-O-E) is the Danish surname of Klaus Fanoe, who writes and produces the music. “Full Speed Ahead” is their third album.

The album starts out with rock’n’roll that couldn’t sound much better. Fast, yet great and catchy Fanoe rock your butt before they add a little electro to the music. After the first couple songs the album begins to sound like Orgy or Julien-K, style wise. The lyrics are straight forward and the sound is kicking ass. The album has some very interesting artwork and even more interesting arrangements. All lyrics are in the booklet, in between and above some nice yet odd artwork.The CD cover for example shows a naked female body with tentacles all over.That theme you can find throughout the booklet as well, in the middle there is a band picture. Fanoe rock with you throughout all 13 songs, where as the last one is very slow and thoughtful, almost all instrumental. A great album that varies somewhere between pure rock’n’roll, rockabilly and electro rock. “Full Speed Ahead” is something you should definitely check out.
