Sum 41 is a Canadian rock band from Ajax, Ontario. Originally a band called Kaspir, the band was formed in 1996 and currently consists of lead vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist Deryck Whibley, guitarist and backing vocalist Dave Baksh, guitarist, keyboardist and backing vocalist Tom Thacker, bassist and backing vocalist Jason “Cone” McCaslin, and drummer Frank Zummo. This is their seventh full length studio album and it is called “Order In Decline”.
“Order In Decline” comes with ten songs and lasts for almost forty minutes. The songs have the usual punk spirit we know and love about Sum41. Each song is catchy and will get you going along. The rhythms will push your adrenaline level higher and will cause your muscles to twitch, while the rhythms will get you moving along for good. The lyrics are taken out of life, some are rather political. “Order In Decline” definitely includes quite some songs that will get stuck in your head. While the album starts out fast and rough, it slows down throughout the middle before it picks up pace again and finishes strong. “Never There” is probably the slowest song on the album. A calm and relaxing ballad that might melt your heart. Then Sum41 kick it again and push through the last songs.
Sum41 created a brilliant and strong album with “Order In Decline”. One that will not only kick your ass but also goes deep underneath your skin at times. The songs will definitely get stuck in your head. A must have for all you punk rock fans out there so go get your copy.
