Norwegian trio Amgala Temple makes Post Rock with Psychedelic influences. The released their debut album “Invisible Airships” this month.
Actually the guys have taken quite a diversity of influences to make up their sound. Variation but what comes to notice right at the first rotation is that they brought it together quite well. Bluesy touches at these guitars, every moment of the album is full. No need for slow building tensions, these guys are all in right away, no slowing around but full power to create a sound that has so much detail you will need to listen to it several times to grasp all of it. And isn’t that the joy, an album that keeps you occupied for long?!
Psychedelic touches are there to give you that hypnotizing touch, and regardless that the band is making sure every second is filled they are not always on high tempo, breaking it down also to calmer moments where you can get the feel of it all as well.
Also a must to say is that the band is all in balance. Each member gets its shine and they do it all together, interesting drums are creating just as much excitement as the rest.
Concluding this all it is clear to say that this album makes us much curious. To how it sounds live, to how this band will develop and what else will come from their hands. A debut album it is, Strong! Not many have such a strong start!
