Alex Braun is known as the front man of electro pop formation !Distain. Anno 2018 he released a solo EP called “Eiskalt” which is available now.

A side thing, this release as !Distain has plans for a new release just as well, but a bit more centered around Alex we find this album one to be in good line for the fans of the band. NDW inspired, you feel transferred back straight to the 80’s. Not only music wise but it seems that Alex chose to stay close to that sound in many ways. The production is having some of 2018 but left a bit more classic on other parts.

The covers on the release give an interesting inside on how Alex is hearing them, but maybe are not the most expected ones. Did you thought Lou Reed would be interesting also synthasized? Good, it is maybe not the most groundbreaking cover in the end, but it does snatch one’s attention.

Altogether we get four songs that are part of the playful mind of Alex Braun. It results in an EP that listens easily and maybe makes you smile here and there for the choices being made. Groundbreaking? Not at all though. Doesn’t mean you don’t want to hear it, it will certainly entertain you.
