Billy F Gibbons is an American musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and actor, best known as the guitarist and lead vocalist of the American rock band ZZ Top. He began his career in the Moving Sidewalks, who recorded Flash (1968) and opened four dates for the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Gibbons formed ZZ Top in late 1969 and released ZZ Top’s First Album in 1971. Now he has released his first solo album: ”The Big Bad Blues”.
This album comes with eleven songs and let me say this upfront: It is a legendary one. The timeless blues sounds go straight into every fibre of your body, letting you feel the music. The low and smoky voice of Bily F Gibbons is perfecting this sound of legends. The lyrics are taken out of life and leave a lot of room for the melodies to deliver the story. The music is carrying more than just the story and emotions. It almost seems like the songs come to live when listening. The sound is simply amazing and the music all in all is nothing less than breathtaking.
“The Big Bad Blues” is an highly addictive album. You will not be able to stop listening. So sit down on a comfy chair and press play. Let this music take over.
