African Connection comprises Frank Ankrah, a Ghanaian drummer who played for Fela in the 1980s, Abdulai Issaka Kyemtore (Ghana), Kwesi Dankwah (Ghana), Maggie Cawley (US), Lasse Aagaard (Denmark), Martin Robert Madsen (Denmark), Lasse Enøe (Denmark) and Olaf Johannes Brinch (Denmark). And these guys have a brand new album out now. It is called “Queens and Kings”.
This brand new album comes with nine songs. The music on this album is entirely in African. Some blues mixed with jazz and reggae come together to a perfect sound that will catch you instantly. You can feel the spirit by simply listening to the music. The energy is filling you from head to toe. African Connection put all their energy and passion into this music. Into each of the nine songs. The rhythms are catchy and will get you going along. This is music you will feel in your bones and even deeper.
Take some time to take in the album. Listen to it again and again until you can feel the music in every inch of our body and let go. “Queens and Kings” is a brilliant album that is just waiting for you to be listened to, and felt, of course. So enjoy.
