ptyl, born in 1977, is an Israeli musician, currently signed on Danse Macabre Records. ptyl has been making music since 1993. He has always been involved in the creation of art. Although starting with fine arts, he was always more attracted to music creation. Listening to bands like Jane’s Addiction, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains, he got fascinated by the explicit way in which a person can radiate his inner self into an esthetic object through songs. And so like any typical teenager, ptyl bought an electric guitar. To his disappointment, he could never really play on cue. And so ptyl was introduced to electronic music. The computer never missed a cue. ….. Now he has a double album released called “V / Loki”.
Very electric and computer made sounds mixed with all elements and samples you can think of. The vocals are soft yet strong. This album sounds like an experimental piece of art where ptyl tries what he can all do with the machine. Not all songs are good to dance to or for clubs, but it is definitely a great background album. Inspiring for everybody that likes to experiment with sounds. Slow and fast the songs vary in pace. The “Loki” CD is a little bit harsher but also very experimental and very danceable. The lyrics to each song are in the booklet. As background you can find arms and head of ptyl. Enjoy the different styles on these two CDs.
