Thursday night in Offenbach. But what to do? Why not head over to Stadthalle and see some Rock’n’Roll? Great plan, because Callejon were playing there tonight, rocking the masses with their new and old songs.

Callejon is a German metalcore band founded in Düsseldorf, Germany in 2002. The band writes and sings the majority of their lyrics in German. Their latest album is called “Fandigo” and this is their shot at it live. Performing it to the masses that were out here tonight. The venue was packed and the band was eager to enter the stage.

And as soon as they went on stage, the venue was on fire. The light was dim and fog was filling the stage. The audience was going along from the very first second on until the very last. The first two songs were older ones. Then Callejon played a cover. “Schwule Mädchen” by Fettest Brot. A huge hit song some years back, so everyone was singing and jumping along to this one as well. Then Callejon continued with some newer songs like “Utopia”.

The guys on stage were soon soaked in sweat and so was the audience. Callejon continued with their fast rock music and kept the audience going. With their catchy choruses the band got the audience to yell and shout along. The cheering between the songs was intense. And well deserved.

Closer to the end, Callejon played another cover: “Schrei Nach Liebe” by Die Ärzte. Basti, the singer of Callejon, announced this song as “something that fits the current political situation”. The audience went insane once again.

Callejon is an amazing live band that spreads a lot of energy. The music is meant to get you going along, and the band always succeeds in keeping you going. So go ahead and catch them live whenever you have the chance.
