It is a Monday night which sure feels like a Friday night, because we are at a show in Ludwigsburg and having a blast. With whom? Nobody less than Papa Roach!

Papa Roach is an American rock band from Vacaville, California. Formed in 1993, their first major-label release was the triple-platinum album “Infest” (2000). The group’s success continued with their gold album “Lovehatetragedy” (2002), their platinum album “Getting Away with Murder” (2004), “The Paramour Sessions” (2006), “Metamorphosis” (2009), “Time for Annihilation” (2010), “The Connection” (2012), and “F.E.A.R.” (2015). Earlier this year they have released their latest album which is called “Crooked Teeth” and the boys are currently on tour with this album.

Tonight, Papa Roach was stopping by in Ludwigsburg. The MHP Arena was huge venue and packed, especially the standing area was completely packed. The bleachers were halfway filled. Mainly the lower ones were in use. The venue was heated up already. And then it finally was time for Papa Roach. A huge banner was covering the stage before the band entered. The intro was a hip hop song, and then the Californians began their show with “Crooked Teeth”.

The audience was going insane. Jumping and singing along to the music, having a blast. The band did the same on stage. With a lot of energy and passion, the band was going through the show. Performing their songs and mixing some songs into a medley. And the band even rearranged some songs. Now, that Papa Roach has a fifth member on keys/guitar and vocal, the band has some more options for playing the songs. And they surely used it well. “Lifelines” turned into a beautiful ballade. Papa Roach even honored Chester Bennington by ending their song “Forever” with the chorus of “In The End”.

Papa Roach also played a Blur cover which caused the audience to go insane on the chorus. The band played for about two hours including an encore of a couple songs during which Jacoby walked up on the bleachers and then through the audience to say hi to the fans.

It was an amazing show with an amazing live band. Always a pleasure.
