Venue: Batschkapp, Frankfurt (Germany)

Archive is a musical group based in London, England, whose music spans electronica, trip hop and progressive rock.
Over their fifteen year history, the band have released seven studio albums and enjoyed moderate success throughout central Europe, while remaining little-known in their native Britain. And Archive was the one that played at the Batschkapp in Frankfurt tonight. The venue was totally crowded, I am sure it only took a few more people to sell out the show.
The people went nuts as Archive entered the stage. The music was mostly electro, some songs were hip hop. The first song was sung by a female. From then on everyone in the band seemed to take turns with singing a song. Very interesting. The pure electro songs were mostly slow and the words were sung so long than an entire song was not only very long, but also contained little lyrics. The synthesized bass was strong.
The audience danced along, some fans seemed in some kind of trance, others danced to this slow music like I would do for The Prodigy. Archive was definitely interesting to watch. I couldn’t make out whether I like it or not though. Everybody else in the venue was sure though: Archive rocks
