Mark Greening (former Electric Wizard, also of Ramesses, With The Dead) and vocalist Virginia Monti (Psychedelic Witchcraft) joined forces to found the heaviest occult psych super beast to see the light this year, taking the shape Dead Witches. Keeping it mysterious, the band has released a couple of nippets for their upcoming works. Metal Nexus comments describes these audio previews as “an alluring, somewhat hypnotic style of music steeped in vintage aesthetics and mystique and I have no doubt this is going to be killer once completely unveiled”.
This is the brand new release of Dead Witches. It is called “Ouija” and comes with six tracks. The name and cover match quite well. Both are dark and mysterious. And so is the sound of the tracks. The music on this release is dark and dim. There is no focus on the vocals, but instead the distorted guitar riffs are coming right at you when listening to “Ouija”. Dead Witches create a gloomy and dark atmosphere with their music. It will lure in the shadows and surround you while listening.
“Ouija” is a dark and unpredictable release. A perfect fit for gothic parties and those who are drawn to the darkness. Dead Witches have a new EP out and are waiting for you to enter the darkness of “Ouija”. So go ahead and give it a listen.
