Supports: Underground Attack; Venue: Semifinal, Helsinki (Finland)
By: Nina Mende
Back in Finland for the holidays means back to Semifinal. As somehow every year by now Stereojunks were playing there.
To warm up for them Underground Attack was performing on stage this time. Underground Attack (formerly known as Sleazy Dreams), that is a Finnish band, which actually doesn’t want to fit into that Finnish power metal-grid at all. To say it more exactly, they don’t belong there anyways. Semifinal was not that crowded yet, but the people that were there enjoyed the soft and sometimes edgy tunes of Underground Attack. The band enjoyed being on stage and gave their everything. Several people began dancing along throughout the show. Throughout Underground Attack’s performance Semifinal filled up and more and more people got to enjoy the show. Underground Attack played for about 40 minutes.
On stage now came Stereojunks. Semifinal was crowded by now. Energetic as usual the guys rocked the stage, this time with a drummer I have not seen in this band before. The drummer of V For Violence was helping out the band for now. Everybody was now dancing and jumping along, screaming along and holding up their fists, being just as energetic as Anzi on stage. Some girls in the front row seemed to have never seen Stereojunks before because they were quite scared of getting hit by either Anzi or his microphone stand which he was twisting and throwing around throughout the entire show. They played old and new songs, laughed and joked around on stage. The singer went down to the audience several times. Everybody had a blast and nobody stood still for this very powerful show of the Stereojunks. The perfect way to get rid of the pounds you gained during the Christmas holidays: A night out with Stereojunks.
