The French Black Metal formation Way To End releases their debut album “Desecrated Internal Journey”. The band formed in 2006.
This French act has got the approach of taking the instrumentals upfront. Hear some sharp riffs, deep bass drum and screeching vocals that are slightly backup up the instrumental atmosphere. It has a little bit of doom depravation. There is not that much of a connection in the music, it has several parts from different ego’s that go their own way, nevertheless it does not sound horrifying. The fact that the instrumental parts are not indissoluble of each other is not always a bad thing. Way to End has clearly the ability to make it work anyway. All together they created 40 minutes of misery, that sets your brains to work wondering whether to give it the space to grow and capture the rotten souls in the underground world, or that it will stay what it is and it has semblance of going for the first, but it might not go without a bump. There is plenty of complexity in the music that with the dissonance might come overwhelming.
While this album is perfect for the dark winter nights that are knocking on the door this album comes right in time to please the sepulchrals of us.
