AJJ is an American folk punk band from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in 2004. The band has been noted for their lyricism, which often covers themes of social anxiety, poverty, humanity, religion, existentialism, and politics. Now, they have a brand new album out.
The brand new album is called “The Bible 2”. With eleven songs, the band AJJ is bringing their gospels close to your ears, eager to touch your heart and soul. Some of these tracks sound more disturbing than comforting. But each track is carrying a message. Most of them are quite humorous. The band is performing these songs with confidence and passion. The music is hard to describe. From regular rock and pop melodies to experimental use of samples, AJJ is keeping the album interesting. The wild and theatric lyrics and melodies try getting you along while you are still wondering about this or that. Other songs are not as puzzling and definitely catch your mind and ear. The combination of both makes this album an interesting piece of art. Alternative art, but art.
You should definitely check out the brand new album by AJJ: “The Bible 2”. Decide for yourself what to make of it and whether you like it or not.
