Incremate is a band from Germany that formed in 2007 to make Death Metal. They took their time to release something, but anno 2016 the band is ready with a debut full length. “Prospect of Death” is out now.
If a band takes that long to bring something to light it often means that a lot of old material is collected through the years and you get a mixed up list from really bad songs and some better songs. This album does not give the impression the band kept their old material waiting for it to be out, rather that they had a critical look on it before breaking it to the world. A pro for them as it gives the album some consistency.
Within their sound you find some vehement riffs, sometimes very familiar and then some more inventiveness comes across. Here and there the songs are a bit messy but when the guys grow into the releasing of albums we assume that will tighten up as they show to have a clear vision of what they want to present.
“Prospect of Death” is a fine starter for the German guys. Hopefully they will get working on new material so they can grow further and will we hear from them again.
