Supports: Lonely The Brave, As It Is; Venue: Sankt Peter, Frankfurt (Germany)

Tonight’s place to be was a church. But not any church. The Sankt Peter in Frankfurt was giving stage to three amazing bands. Many teenagers and rock lovers in their twenties had come out to this event. The venue was packed. Except for the high ceilings, it was hard to believe that we were in a church. And it did not seem to matter to anyone.
The first band was quite young but rocked like a big one. As It Is had the honor of opening the night. As It Is is a band based in Brighton, England, formed in 2012. The band signed to Fearless Records on October 2, 2014. The group consists of Patty Walters (vocals), Ben Biss (guitar and vocals), Andy Westhead (guitar), Alistair Testo (bass), and Patrick Foley (drums). The guys were jumping around big time, presenting their songs to the wild audience. Some people could even sing along to some of the songs. The guys were playing with the audience, the singer sometimes even flirted with some of the girls in the front row. As It Is played absolutely catchy and loud music, making you go along big time. Somewhere between punk and metal As It Is spent their thirty minutes on stage. |
After a little change over, the next band was up. Lonely The Brave is a rock band from the UK, founded in 2013. Much older than the first band but playing together not as long, the guys were a little more insecure than As It Is. But the music was not less great. Melodic melodies along with great lyrics sung by the great voice of the singer. Their music was definitely coming from the heart. The audience was having a good time with the guys during their thirty minutes of showtime. For sound reasons the singer was standing in the far back of the stage, next to the drums. There was not much room up there for them to move around much. So they had simply their music moving the masses. And it worked. Lonely The Brave is a band that plays beautiful music that is passionate and soft wrapped in rock music. |
Another change over and it was time for the main act: Silverstein. Silverstein is a Canadian post-hardcore band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada that formed in 2000. They will soon release their new album “I Am Alive in Everything I Touch”. With loads of energy and joy the guys entered the stage, infecting the audience. Wild screaming and shouting received the Canadians. With loud guitars and thriving vocals Silverstein hit it hard. Shouting taking turns with sung vocals they rocked the heavenly house. Silverstein was celebrating their fifteenth band anniversary and had their fans join them. For each show, fans can purchase a VIP package, which allows them to stand on the side of the stage during the show and watch it. Silverstein played most of their old hits including some of their newest. The audience sang “My Heroine” with and for the band. The guys on stage were raging as much as the audience. No one was standing still for even a second. Energizing and powerful Silverstein rocked the stage for about ninety minutes including a couple songs as encore. The guys put up an amazing show, having a blast. And so did the audience. A definitely well spent night that everyone would join in again.
