13-03-2015 Vader

Supports: Hate, Shredhead; Venue: Baroeg, Rotterdam (Netherlands)
By: Sabine van Gameren

The mighty Vader comes to town and in the package of this evening Hate was included as well as the band Shredhead.

ShredheadShredhead was the first to play. The guys are from Israel and make Thrash. The guys make it wild on stage and they are perhaps the first to be wild but certainly not the last. What to remember most from the show, well that must be the fact that when their vocalist got some bloody accident he uses his blood to decorate his body. Making use of the situation, but maybe not really adding much to the show. Musically the band did quite well, perhaps a little too much focused on the vocals where the guitarist could use a little more spotlight as they certainly add a substantial part to the sound.

Hate bandHate was giving more power altogether. The guys make a solid and secure impression and when they start the show, their sound is buildering over you. The band has a new album released called “Crusade: Zero” of which they played a lot of songs. However, the band starts with Omega in their set, heating up the audience with something more familiar. The audience is quite international today, a lot of Polish metal heads made their way to the venue and they let themselves be known. Their enthusiasm seems contagious for the whole place and so come the guys had no effort in keeping the venue as energetic as they can. Hate impresses with their playing, very strong and brought with power making the audience aware of their new release, which we think that many have taken home this night.

VaderOf course Vader is the name of the night. The venue was packed. Vader did not speak a whole lot to the audience, but the audience spoke to them. In Polish. An encouragement to bring them to movement and the guys do not let that request go unheard. As soon as the first notes are played, the mosh is on. Crowd surfers are surfing by and no one is safe in this place. But all in good atmosphere and energy.
Vader released their album “Tibi Et Igni” about a year ago and the fans seem to have their favorites chosen. A couple time the request for “Hexenkessel” was made and luckily the guys had included this track in their setlist. Yet the band chose to also include some older track which certainly pleased the audience, but probably any song would have done. Vader is a band that could not have done any bad at all tonight but it never seem to be a reason for the guys to give it easy. The polish guys performed a good show that made their fans wild.
